The outside was first scudded at a mix of sand,lime and cement 1;1 before it was scratched with a mix at 3;1. The final cot was mixed at 4;1 and finished with a fiberglass float and sponge. The inside was boarded with half inch plasterboard on ceilings and partitions and 30 mm insulated board on external walls, stuck with bonding compound and leveled with a strait edge. There was a fair bit of bonding in some of the older rooms which was prepeared before the whole interior was finished with gypsum skim-coat.
